Art, Photography and Music in This Issue

This issue of Wordgathering hits a trifecta with representatives from each of the fields of visual art, photography and music. The visual comes in the form of representative samples of Adrean Clark's "Artifact Series" in which she incorporates both the language and culture of ASL into her prints. Photographer Anna Yarrow uses her skills to convey two series of images depicting the many moods of her daughter, a spirited girl with Aspergers. Finally, radio show host Peter Torpey describes his experience as a blind musician, including a sample of his work.

Interviews with both Adrean Clark and Peter Torpey in the interview section of this issue of Wordgathering provide an even fuller account of their work. Anna Yarrow's work is represented in Darolyn Jones and Liz Whiteacre's, Monday Coffee and Other Stories of Mothering Children with Special Needs, reviewed in the book reviews section.
