Non-Fiction and Essays in this Issue

In the September issue of Wordgathering two writers offer non-fiction pieces dealing with personal experience of diagnosis. Poet Bobbi Lurie describes coming to terms with her son's autism in "The Diagnosis". Stephanie Leonard describes one of her own experiences with mental illness in "The Sickness". The final prose piece comes from Wordgathering editor Michael Northen as he remembers a little known poet with spina bifida in his personal essay "A Diana Serviss Day".

Wordgathering welcomes the submission of new short fiction as well as literature-related essays and non-fiction. Writers who wish to submit essays or short fiction to this journal should check the submission guidelines. Comments about the interviews or essays appearing in this issue should be submitted to comments@wordgathering.com.
